Case #3- Relections

This case was like a whole new world. The case was a lot more challenging than the previous two, and quite fun. The exercise really made me recall ALL of what we had learned to date... and that was a great review.
Also, it was REALLY cool to see how much money you can save just by saving 1cent a min.

case #2- Reflections

Case #2 was a little bit better than Case #1. I still felt like the case grader was spoon feeding me too much information, but I have some hope as I feel like it is slowly waning us off the spoon feeding and into the realm of thinking.
Lets see what happens in the next case...

Case #1- Reflecetions

While I was looking forward to finally working with the case grader, honestly, I found the experience a little bit disappointing. Thought the case was easy (and a decent refresher), I felt that the whole exercise was spoon-fed and that the book took away any opportunity you may have had to think by spoon feeding you the answers. I would have preferred had the case grader told you what to do and let you figure out what cells needed to be used and what function needed to be applied to reach your desired results.
Moreover, I entered the date and I was docked 5 points because I didn't enter the date in a format that the program liked, though no date format was specifically requested. That was rather annoying and petty.

Hopefully the upcoming cases will prove to be more challenging and intellectually stimulating.

Bean Bag Quarterly Income Statement and Break-Even Analysis

Today's exercise in class was quite enjoyable. It served as a nice refresher after being away from excel (and school in general) for quite a while. (While it's always hard to leave vacation, this exercise was definitely a nice way to ease my way back into school!!) I really liked using the Data Table. i had forgotten what a powerful tool it was. While I still don't totally understand how it figures out the necessary info, I find it super cool and really convenient. WHAT A POWERFUL FUNCTION!
